Answers to Key Questions on Defense & Procedures
Expert clarifications regarding Interpol defense mechanics, filing challenges before the CCF, and purchasing the digital guide.
The Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF) is an independent monitoring and adjudicative tribunal seated in Lyon, France, empowered to verify that personal data processing complies with Interpol regulations. Any individual or their authorized counsel has the right to file a request with the CCF Requests Chamber to confirm if their data is stored, or to seek full cancellation and deletion of a Red Notice or diffusion. The petition must be filed in one of Interpol's official languages accompanied by verified legal evidence.
Article 3 strictly forbids Interpol from engaging in any intervention or activities of a political, military, religious, or racial nature. The CCF and General Secretariat evaluate cases using the "Predominance Test". If factual evidence proves that political persecution, regime retaliation, or corporate raiding outweighs ordinary criminal aspects, the alert is declared null and void, requiring immediate deletion across all 196 member countries.
